Immediate decision: Decide what you need the list to answer. Choosing a champion to learn, selecting for one match, and deciding what to ban are separate tasks. A ranking built for one may offer only partial help with another. In poker, narrow your decision down to your current hand and focus on what the best move is with the information you currently have.
This check does not require you to reject statistics. It gives them a boundary and helps you to interpret them through a realistic lens. You’ll find that both your poker skills and your LoL skills improve as a result of using the numbers as part of your strategy, not the whole strategy.
Know What Changes After Publication
Tier lists also age at different speeds. A small numerical adjustment may leave the broad order intact, while a changed item, role interaction, or common counter can alter the practical value of several picks at once. Different regions or queues may also adopt the same response at different speeds.
This doesn’t tend to be as common with poker, but it’s still important to bear the popularity of current strategies in mind, and remember that using only the most popular and straightforward strategies might put you at a disadvantage when it comes to the game.
